Eco-friendly Tips for Your Home

Eco-friendly products are gaining more and more popularity lately. It might be because of people who has opened their eyes and saw what humans had done to the planet, or because it is modern. Still, many people have started living green and using environmentally friendly products.

Of course, natural methods have spread to home cleaning as well. Unfortunately, many people still think that natural cleaning products do not work effectively and they do not feel clean enough. So they continue using commercial products that contain harsh chemicals and toxins which may cause really serious health issues and environmental disasters. However, many professional cleaners Canons Park have realized the benefits of green cleaning and have started using eco-friendly cleaning products. Here are some tips you may find pretty useful in your daily house maintenance.

Washing curtains. Do you know that washing detergent ruins your curtains and that is why many manufacturers recommend dry cleaning? Now, there is a better way to clean your curtains without the need of laundry detergent or the harsh dry cleaning. Curtains should be washed with very little washing detergent, which does not contain harsh chemicals (can be found in specialized stores) and with absolutely no softener. If the curtains are very dirty, soak them in a soapy water first then rinse twice with plain water.

Washing windows. You do not need those commercial window cleaning products to have sparkling windows. Moreover, most of them do not give you the results you want. Better try a more environmental solution made of water and vinegar. You do not need to rinse it out. All you have to do is to mix one part of vinegar with two parts of water in a spray bottle and spray on the windows. Next, wipe with old newspapers and your windows will sparkle. If you do not like the smell of vinegar (which usually disappears quickly) you can wipe clean your windows with a damp sponge and microfiber cloth.

Experts claim that some natural products work better than commercial cleaning products. So, why not give them a try? It will save you money on expensive cleaners, efforts on scrubbing and some health issues caused by the toxic detergents.
