Fingerprints are a serious problem for stainless steel sinks. Stainless steel seems to attract and display fingerprint marks more than any other surface. You can get rid of them easily only by using glass cleaning detergent and a soft cloth.
Stainless steel is naturally resistant to rust, however if you let wet objects sit on it for a long time, it will develop rust. Clean it with a mixture of one spoon of tartar and a few drops of lemon juice. Rub the rust spots vigorously with this paste, rinse with warm water and dry.
